ToeSox Continues to Donate to Walkers in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure
Vista, CA. – July 11, 2011 – This year, toe sock company, ToeSox (www.toesox.com), is continuing its support of one of the largest annual fundraising events for breast cancer research and awareness, the Susan G. Komen 3 Day for the Cure. The event takes place in 14 states while thousands of walkers dedicate three days to walk 60 miles in the fight against breast cancer. ToeSox, known for their grip toe socks for yoga and Pilates, released their first walking/running socks last November. This new line of ULTRA Sport ToeSox included a Pink Ribbon toe sock for their Sox for a Cause giving back initiative. A portion of the sales of the pink walking socks benefit breast cancer charities. The first organization ToeSox chose to support is Susan G. Komen, specifically the 3 Day for the Cure. Last year, the pink ULTRA Sport was launched at the end of the 3 Day season. The company offered donation scholarships to three San Diego 3 Day Walkers, totaling $1000. This year, ToeSox will donate again in the form of walker donation scholarships, this time to all 14 walks. The company will select walkers from each state’s event to receive donations.
